Fighting Hunger.
No one deserves to go hungry. As a member of the food industry, we try to do our part to help our neighbors by providing food for hungry families. Last year, GIANT and MARTIN'S distributed more than $4 million in cash and food to a vast network of regional food banks serving market areas in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Each year, we conduct food drives and provide customers with the option to make a donation at the check-out. Through programs such as GIANT Bags Hunger, nearly $2 million is collected annually to benefit local food banks.
Each week, local pantries and soup kitchens visit our stores to pick up bakery items which are donated to help feed the hungry. In addition, GIANT and MARTIN'S provide hams, turkeys and other foods to ensure a delicious holiday meal for those who need it the most.

| Canstruction At the 2007 Pennsylvania Home Show, competing teams built structures made entirely of GIANT corporate brand canned goods. After the event, GIANT donated all 25,695 cans to Project SHARE and 40 other Central Pennsylvania food banks and pantries, a donation of more than $17,000. |
